I can't even begin to express my gratitude for the incredible professional help in building up my Litespeed. I built my dream bike 9 months ago, a gift from my wife for my 50th. Two weeks ago, someone broke into my garage and stole both my road bikes. After insurance paid off the claim, it was time to rebuild. Henry Chen was absolutely stellar to work with. He was helpful, fast, and did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. They gave me a great price on the frame and fork upgrade as well as installing the headset for no additional charge. They were out of the fork I wanted, and Enve was out of stock as well. Henry tracked one down locally for me so I could get back on my bike as soon as possible. They did all this under budget. Nine days after my first call. I had my frame and fork in my hands.
If I ever build a bike up again, this is the first place I'll call. I'm sold on the service.

My recent experience purchasing a road bike from Wrench Science was a very positive experience. Not that there are any typical clients, however I am likely an outlier by most standards, since I live in Tanzania (+10 hours from California) and was only going to be the Bay Area for two short windows of time in June-July to visit family there.
I worked with Henry Chen by e-mail and Skype to build my bike and Henry managed to have it ready upon arrival. As some other reviewers have noted about Henry and other staff at Wrench Science, Henry was very accommodating and took the time to communicate with me about my preferences. He listened very well, and offered well-informed guidance related to decisions on options. Having lived out of the country and not purchased a new bike in some years, Henry supplemented the research I had done with practical guidance. The Wrench Science website is user-friendly and helps facilitate a lot of the preparations for purchasing a bike.
Henry accommodated my schedule in the Bay Area very flexibly and took his time during the fitting of the bike. I am very satisfied with bike I purchased and the service received. I would recommend Wrench Science to others purchasing a bike, especially if you have an idea of what you want and want to build your own bike.

I just got my Pinarello ROKH that I bought from Wrench Science. Henry Chen who works at Wrench Science was great! He made sure that I had the right bike, fit and all details (gearing, wheels, tires, etc.) to set up the bike as I wanted it. When the bike came in it was perfect. It took only a half hour to set it up. The bike fit me like a glove and all the derailleurs and brakes were set up ready to ride. I rode a test ride for 20 miles and had zero issues, so a couple days later I took it out for a 80 mile ride. It was perfect! Thank you Wrench Science!

When I woke up yesterday, never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would have ordered the bike of my dreams....online, sight unseen, no less......but I was tired of looking at my friends back-ends, and my comfort on my current custom build was waaaay-off from true bliss. We had been getting Wrench Science emails for a while, but the 12 month 0% financing enticed me to pick up the phone, and we were handed off to Henry. I initially just wanted to chat, get some good advice, see what I might be able to change (on my own) ....and then, maybe I would know what direction to head in.
But something else entirely happened.....Henry. I simply cannot say enough good stuff about my experience, and the comfort level and personal attention that Henry provided. He did 'everything' right. He listened with kind ears, gave me advice with professional courtesy, put together a bike to fit my exact needs (and I have many!).....and then followed up promptly with the bike and price that I could say SOLD! So now I am patiently waiting (yeah who am I kidding) and sitting on pinarellos and needles for my ride to come all the way across the country, where I shall promptly unpack her, assemble the bar and pedals and sling my leg over and ride ride ride. Thank you Henry.... I hope the rest of the folks over there at Wrench Science appreciate you as much as I do. And a special thank you for being such a stand up guy.......hope to see you in person this Summer, where by the way, Leo says he may leave you with a nice 'deposit'!

I recently called Wrench Science and spoke with Henry about ordering a Pinarello Paris Easy Fit. I am in Michigan so the process was entirely over the phone and online. Henry took the time to understand my riding style and helped me provide the necessary measurements to determine the best frame size for me. In addition, he spent time with me on the phone to discuss the components that I wanted on the bike, while trying to keep the cost within my budget. The process was smooth and fast as I received the bike approximately two weeks after placing the order. The bike arrived via UPS and was very well packed. After minimal assembly, I rode the bike, and it fit great! It rode like a dream, and I am extremely pleased with my experience. Henry was also interested in how I like the bike after I got it. A full service experience. I am thrilled that I called Wrench Science and had Henry's help with this bike!

I would have never ever found this place because it's pretty hidden. There is plenty of parking in the lot that they are located though so that is definitely a plus. Perhaps they chose that location because you can ride around outside in the lot. YUP! its that big! I was first really introduced to this place when they had the BMC Demo in August 2013. It was a beautiful day to ride AND they had BBQ lunch for riders afterwards.
I'm still in the early stages of finding the right bicycle and so far, Henry has been such a great person to work with!
Henry:
1) Asks questions to try and figure out what your riding style and personality is
2) He's not pushy.
---- He doesn't try to push you towards any specific bicycle brand [which I absolutely appreciate because I HATE pushy sales people anywhere. The second I sense they just want to make a sale.....I'm pretty much tuned out and that sale (for that person) is gone.]
Every person is different and each brand offers different things so I'm very pleased with the fact that Henry's willing to really LISTEN to what I want and try to compose the perfect bike for me. I hightly recommend working with Henry for your cycling experience needs!!! .
Justin - their bike mechanic is a really funny, chill, and smart guy! He will definitely be my go to if something happens. I also really like the design and color of their kits. Very different and unique!

Excellent service from Wrench Science! I emailed Henry regarding a question about my Cipollini, even though I didn't buy it from Wrench Science; he was very keen to help me and was able to answer all of my questions! Henry demonstrated impeccable customer service skills and product knowledge. I was very impressed when Henry replied to my first email within minutes, with a highly detailed and to the point answer. 10 out of 10!
